This project involves the design and execution of a Coiler and Uncoiler
Automation System developed to ensure smooth, safe, and synchronized
handling of metal strips during production processes.
The system plays a key role in maintaining proper strip tension,
alignment, and controlled winding and unwinding operations.
The automation solution provides precise coordination between coiler and uncoiler
units to support continuous production with minimal strip damage.
Automated sequencing, interlocks, and operator controls ensure
reliable operation under varying load and speed conditions.
The control architecture is implemented using a Siemens S7-200 PLC
integrated with a Human–Machine Interface (HMI).
This setup enables intuitive operator interaction, real-time status monitoring,
alarm handling, and simplified maintenance of the coiler and uncoiler system.
