Lamination Machine Automation System
Retrofitting & Project Execution
This project involves the retrofitting and complete automation execution
of an industrial Lamination Machine, aimed at improving operational
reliability, process consistency, and long-term maintainability.
The scope included upgrading legacy automation hardware while preserving
existing mechanical systems and production workflows.
The legacy control system based on Siemens S5 PLC was carefully
migrated to a modern Siemens S7 PLC platform.
This migration enhanced system diagnostics, simplified troubleshooting,
and provided better control accuracy for critical lamination processes
such as temperature regulation, speed control, and tension management.
A modern HMI interface was integrated to provide operators with
real-time visibility of machine parameters, alarms, and production status.
The upgraded automation architecture ensures safer operation,
reduced downtime, and improved production efficiency.
