Winder Automation System
Vertical Shaft – Project Restructurization & Control System Upgrade
This project involves the restructurization of an existing winder control system
by upgrading from conventional control architecture to a
PLC-based automation system for a
Vertical Shaft Men & Material Winding application.
The objective of this modernization was to enhance
operational safety, reliability, and system performance
in underground mining operations.
The upgraded solution is built on Siemens industrial automation technology,
integrating Siemens PLC S7-300, Siemens Drives, and a
SCADA-based supervision system.
The new PLC-driven architecture enables precise motion control,
real-time monitoring, fault diagnostics, and improved maintainability
under demanding mining conditions.
